MIRO LEGAL CENTER
European Union Consumer Terms
For consumers residing in and receiving goods in the European Union. EU retail checkout is currently unavailable pending destination and product compliance.
Version: 2026-09-12-v2 · Last updated: September 12, 2026Current sales status
This page is a pre-contract policy draft and is not an offer to sell into the EU. EU consumer checkout must remain disabled until seller identity, EU responsible economic operator, product traceability, warnings, recall contact, VAT, customs, delivery pricing and withdrawal operations are completed for the exact product and destination.
Pre-contract information and order
Before an EU consumer can be bound, checkout must clearly provide the product’s main characteristics, seller and contact details, total price including applicable taxes and delivery charges, payment and delivery arrangements, complaint handling, conformity guarantee, withdrawal information and any model-specific safety information. The final order button must clearly communicate an obligation to pay.
A contract forms only after MIRO expressly accepts the order. Mandatory consumer law of the consumer’s country remains applicable where required, regardless of any other contractual wording.
Fourteen-day withdrawal
Except where a statutory exception applies, an EU consumer may withdraw without giving a reason within 14 days after the consumer or a designated third party receives the goods. A clear withdrawal statement may be sent by email; the statutory model withdrawal form may also be used once EU sales are activated.
After withdrawal, the consumer must send the goods back within 14 days. The consumer bears the direct return cost only when that was properly disclosed before purchase. MIRO will refund payments required by law, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered, within the statutory period and may withhold reimbursement until the goods or evidence of return is received. The consumer is responsible only for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions and customized goods
The withdrawal right may not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized, but the exception will be used only where its legal requirements are met and disclosed before ordering. An OEM label alone must not be treated automatically as removing consumer rights. Exceptions do not remove remedies for non-conforming goods.
Legal conformity guarantee
Consumers have the mandatory legal guarantee for goods that are not in conformity, including the minimum protection required by EU and applicable national law. Available remedies may include repair or replacement and, where legally available, price reduction or termination and refund. Any commercial warranty is additional and cannot reduce statutory rights.
Privacy, complaints and liability
Personal data will be handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Non-essential cookies or marketing will require an appropriate lawful basis and consent where required.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury, defective products, fraud, gross negligence or another liability that cannot be limited. Consumers retain access to the courts and mandatory remedies in their country; these terms do not impose mandatory arbitration.
